Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Axario Home, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is available at home.axario.co.za and related mobile apps, and is operated by Praxis Marketing Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, trading as Axario ("we", "us", "our"), registration number 2025/558202/07, 44 Old Kent Drive, Midstream Estate, Midstream, Gauteng, South Africa. 2. What the Service is

Axario Home is a household record-keeping application that helps you organise information about your property, vehicles, pets, family members, household items, documents, reminders and related records, including optional AI-assisted features (receipt scanning, photo-based item detection) and property hazard information sourced from third-party public data.

Axario Home is not:

  • An insurance provider, and does not guarantee that any claim report generated by the Service will be accepted by any insurer.
  • A source of authoritative or guaranteed-accurate hazard/risk data — hazard information is sourced from third-party public services at area-level resolution and should not be the sole basis for property, safety or financial decisions.
  • A substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, insurance, medical or otherwise).

3. Accounts and households

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • Households may include multiple members with different roles (Owner, Adult, View-only). The household Owner is responsible for managing membership and access.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions, trials and billing

  • Axario Home offers a free trial period, described at sign-up, after which continued use of certain features requires a paid subscription.
  • Subscription fees purchased on our website are billed via Paystack (South Africa) or Paddle (international), depending on your region, at the rate shown at checkout.
  • Android app: subscriptions purchased inside the Axario Home Android app are sold and billed by Google Play at the price shown in the Google Play purchase screen. They renew automatically through your Google account and are managed, changed or cancelled in your Google Play subscriptions — not in Paystack or Paddle. Refunds for those purchases follow Google Play's refund policy.
  • Cancellation: you may cancel at any time via account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.
  • Refunds: refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which includes a 14-day free trial and the refund conditions set out there.
  • After cancellation or trial expiry: your household becomes read-only — you keep full view, print and export access, but can no longer add or change records. A lapsed paid subscription stays read-only for 30 days; a trial that never converted stays read-only for 14 days. The app shows the exact deletion date throughout that window. When it passes, the household’s data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Subscribing again before then restores full access with nothing lost.
  • We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.

5. Your content

  • You retain ownership of the content you add to the Service (photos, documents, records).
  • You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to provide the Service to you and your household members.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you add, and for the accuracy of the information you record.
  • You must not upload unlawful content or content that infringes others’ rights.

6. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in and to the Axario platform and services, including the software, source code, user interface, designs, graphics, text, documentation, reports, templates, workflows, methodologies, database structures, features, functionality, branding, trade marks and other proprietary materials, are owned by or licensed to Praxis Marketing Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, trading as Axario, except where otherwise expressly stated.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights belonging to Axario to the user. Users may access and use the platform only for the purposes permitted under these Terms.

Users may not, except where permitted by applicable law, copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, commercially exploit, reverse engineer or otherwise use Axario’s proprietary materials without prior written permission.

Certain components, software, services, content or other materials used by or made available through Axario may be owned by third parties and are subject to the applicable third-party rights and licence terms.

Users retain ownership of the information, documents and other content they upload to Axario, as set out in Section 5, subject to the rights reasonably required by Axario to provide the services in accordance with these Terms.

7. AI-assisted features

  • Features such as receipt scanning and photo-based item detection use third-party AI models (see Privacy Policy Section 4) and are provided for convenience.
  • AI-generated suggestions (item names, categories, extracted values, condition estimates) may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming any AI-suggested data before it is saved.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of AI-generated output.

8. Third-party data and services

  • Hazard/risk information is sourced from ThinkHazard!, NASA FIRMS and address-lookup services, and is provided “as is”. We do not control the accuracy, availability or update frequency of this third-party data.
  • Google Calendar sync, if enabled, is subject to Google’s own terms in addition to ours.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access another household’s data without authorisation.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse AI-assisted features.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service’s operation.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these terms, non-payment or as required by law. You may close your account at any time via account settings or by contacting support@axario.co.za.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of defects, or that stored data, reminders or notifications will always be delivered on time.

Hazard and risk information, AI-generated suggestions, valuation and replacement estimates, and any report the Service produces are provided for information and convenience only. They are not professional, insurance, financial, safety or legal advice, and you remain responsible for verifying anything you rely on.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss or corruption of data arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the South African Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Axario Home shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
